LED (light-emitting diode)
Reviews A semiconductor device that emits light when electrical current is applied to it. LEDs require very little power and can last for decades. They are used as indicator lights on electronic devices, for digital and alphanumeric readouts on equipment...

Dell XPS M1530 review
Reviews After years of producing solid but unexciting gray boxes, Dell adopted a 'design-first' philosophy in 2007 that led to both smartly redesigned versions of its mainstream Inspiron laptops, and one of our favourite laptops of the year, the 13-inch...

BenQ-Siemens S88 review
Reviews The camera lens, LED and speaker are surrounded by grey and silver borders that really clash with the overall sleek design of the rest of the phone and, along with the abundance of text, are a disappointing design feature.

Canon MVX35i review
Reviews Unfortunately, the LED is so bright and directional that most people will groan and throw their hands in front of their faces if you aim it at them in a low-light setting. We hoped for some sort of diffuser to soften the onboard LED video light...

Terratec Noxon 2 Audio review
Reviews A bulbous LED screen sits at the front of the unit, causing the entire device to sit up at the front. The quality of the LED display is pretty atrocious, which can make it difficult to see what you're doing.

Apple MacBook Pro 2008 (15-inch, 2.5GHz) review
Reviews The move to backlit LED displays happened in the last MacBook Pro revision, at least for the 15-inch models. Regular 13-inch MacBooks get the usual CPU upgrade, but the MacBook Pro line gets a notable internal overhaul -- including new Penryn-class...

Samsung LE52F96 review
Reviews Firstly, there is a blue LED stripe at the bottom of the screen. FeaturesIt would be wrong of us to start with any feature other than the LED backlight because it's the most important part of this TV.

Logitech G15 Keyboard (Revision 2) review
Reviews Logitech also moved from blue LED key backlighting to orange, and it also extended to the orange glow to the LCD screen. A few other features changed on the new G15, but the trimmer dimensions and the new LED colour are the major highlights.

Porsche Design P'9521 review
Reviews The display uses organic LED technology, so there's no backlight which helps save on power. The 3.2-megapixel camera has autofocus and dual LED flash so we had expected it to produce decent results, but in fact we were disappointed by the photos it...

Sony Ericsson W890i review
Reviews On the back of the Sony Ericsson W890i there's a 3.2-megapixel camera but no LED photo light or xenon flash Sadly, this upgraded camera still doesn't have a flash or LED photo light, so shots in low light don't come out well.

Sony Ericsson C902 review
Reviews Above the lens, there's an LED flash. The C902's 5-megapixel camera includes a micro-mirror for framing self portraits as well as an LED photo light. If there's one company that has done its utmost to blur the boundaries between mobile phones and...

Nokia 3110 Evolve review
Reviews On the back of the Evolve there's a 1.3-megapixel camera without LED photo light or flash You'll find a measly 1.3-megapixel camera with no flash or LED photo light, plus FM radio, a basic MP3 player, Bluetooth and an expandable microSD card slot.

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin iPod speaker review
Reviews A LED indicator lights up from behind the grille to keep you informed of the Zeppelin's operational status. We couldn't resist cranking a few Led Zeppelin tunes over the B&W, but the sound fell flat. Their plastic, boxy and sometimes downright...

Samsung HT-TXQ120R review
Reviews The main unit is finished in piano black -- no surprise there, really -- and has a large, blue LED-based display. HT-TXQ120R was the stupid LED display. The Samsung HT-TXQ120R is no different. This 5.1 surround-sound system proudly proclaims '1080p...
