Etymotic ER-6i Isolator review
Reviews The name Etymotic means 'true to the ear' and is pronounced 'et-im-oh-tik'. But we found the ER-6i to be highly comfortable -- arguably more so than other top in-ear headphones, including the Shure E3c or the Etymotic ER-4P.

Etymotic hf2 sound-isolating earphones review
Reviews Etymotic, too, has done this with the hf2 model, making it compatible with Apple's phone, and every other iPod on the market. Etymotic's new sound-isolating hf2 'phones help ease the struggle and will fit that very socket.

Best most comfortable earphones
Reviews Nearly as ear-friendly as the Jays, they have the advantage of being much more affordable to the casual music fan and more substantial for those people repeatedly finding themselves breaking things they own.Enclosure-wise, Etymotic's ER-6i...

JayBird JB-200 review
Reviews One of our favourite pairs of Bluetooth earphones are the Etymotic ety8s, but even now they're priced well above £100. Etymotic's A2DP-enabled ety8s. But if you're planning on using an iPod, as a result of needing to buy an additional adaptor, we'd...

Philips SHE9850 sound-isolating earphones review
Reviews For around £80 , the SHE9850s are shouting in the same arena as Denon, Shure and Etymotic -- manufacturers whose names are ubiquitous with high performance earphones.Strengths If that sparkling treble and brightness is your poison, consult Etymotic...

Denon AH-C551 earphones review
Reviews The new C551s, which are available soon, sit in a category populated by Ultimate Ears, Shure and Etymotic. If you're prepared to sacrifice a bit of bass in favour of extreme high-end accuracy, check out Etymotic's ER-6is, otherwise the C551s will...

Sennheiser CX 300 review
Reviews Shure and Etymotic's in-ear headphones are surefire cures for the bad-sound blues, but their teensy in-ear models all come with hefty price tags, with the very cheapest starting at around £60. We directly compared the Sennheiser CX 300 to Etymotic...

Sony MDR-EX700 sound-isolating earphones review
Reviews These slick black beasts have waltzed up the earphone warpath, shaking their £200 fists at Shure, Ultimate Ears, Etymotic and Denon, and they're on sale now. Okay, they don't block out noise as well as Shure's thick foam or Etymotic's triple...

Shure E4c review
Reviews Despite commanding prices that often rival the cost of iPods themselves, Shure and Etymotic -- both using models adapted from professional audio headphones -- have quickly established themselves as the leaders in the noise-isolation earbud field.

Denon AH-C751 sound-isolating earphones review
Reviews Compared to Etymotic's sound isolation in the hf2 and ER-6i earphones, the isolation of the C751s is less impressive. However, with music playing, it's still very good, and will make a huge difference to your enjoyment of tunes on the commute, just...

What else do I need?
Reviews Some models, such as the Etymotic ER-6 Isolator, are designed to passively block ambient noise so that all you hear is the music. Plug in and listen to your favourite tunes with a pair of headphones such as the Etymotic ER-6 Isolators

What else do I need?
Reviews The Etymotic ER-4 earbuds have rubber seals that block out lots of surrounding noise. Some people don't care about which headphones they use, but they probably haven't tried on a high-end pair; the difference will blow you away.
