Eee PC 901 review
Reviews The Eee PC 901 is here. Its mission: to re-establish the Eee brand as the number one in the netbook space. It's based largely on the hugely successful Eee PC 900, but has several improvements, including a more stylish chassis, a better mouse...

Eee PC 1000 review
Reviews The wait is finally over for the Eee PC 1000, a laptop that promises to slay all that enters into the netbook arena. It's the most well-equipped -- and largest -- in the Eee series and has cast aside the usability shackles of its diminutive...

Asus Eee PC 701 review
Reviews Whereas keys on a standard desktop keyboard have an approximate 5mm gap, the gap between those on the Eee PC is less than 1mm so it's easy to make mistakes. Meet the Asus Eee PC 701 -- an ultraportable laptop that costs as little as £169.

Asus Eee PC 900 review
Reviews The Asus Eee PC 701 has earned a permanent place in history. We rather hoped the Eee PC 900 would have a larger keyboard than that of the 701, but that isn't the case. The Eee PC 900's webcam is now of the 1.3-megapixel variety, a step up from 0.3...

Asus Eee PC 900 Win (Windows XP) review
Reviews One of the reasons for the success of the Eee PC 701 is its low price. Conclusion We can't really recommend the Windows version of the Eee PC 900 over its Linux counterpart, primarily because you get nearly twice as much storage space in the Linux...

Netbooks: Best Eee PC alternatives
Reviews Many early netbooks -- like the Eee PC 701 -- used 7-inch displays with low resolutions, but these don't really cut the mustard. If typing on the go is of importance, you should probably stay away from the Eee PC 701 and 900.

Asus Eee Box review
Reviews Asus has performed a minor miracle in the laptop market with its Eee PC, so it stands to reason that it would try the same trick in the desktop arena. The Eee Box is its great white desktop hope (it's also available in black), and on first...

Laptops with solid-state hard drives
Reviews Next up is the Asus Eee PC, which occupies the opposite end of the price spectrum. Over the last year or so, the hype surrounding solid-state hard drives has increased exponentially. Laptops that utilise SSDs tend to have several advantages over...

Packard Bell EasyNote XS review
Reviews Lukewarm on the heels of the Asus Eee PC is the Packard Bell EasyNote XS -- a low-cost, miniature laptop. It's twice the price of an Eee, but has advantages like a much larger hard drive and a digital video output port.

Dell Vostro 1400 preview
Reviews Before the Asus Eee PC, budget computing was only possible with underpowered desktops, rubbish laptops or useless thin client PCs, all of which had the computing power of a pocket calculator. The Asus Eee PC proved that even cheap laptops can look...

HP 2133 Mini-Note PC review
Reviews It was only a matter of time before the major laptop manufacturers jumped on the Asus Eee PC's low-price, diminutive bandwagon. The 2133 measures 165 by 33 by 255mm, making it slightly wider than an Eee PC.

Intel Classmate PC review
Reviews Eee, with the letter keys slightly narrower but deeper. Unlike the Eee, there's no webcam or speakers next to the display. Linux-based Asus Eee PC -- a product that's actually available to consumers -- but the Classmate is clearly designed to...

Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook P8010 review
Reviews Not in an Eee PC sort of way, but in a "you can carry it without snapping a wrist" way. Business users might find some of its features useful, but for the rest of us, something like the Eee PC 1000 will do just fine.Edited by Shannon Doubleday
