V-moda Vibe review
Reviews Both the Remix M-Class and Bass Freq earphones garnered positive critiques from the tech press. V-moda is continuing its brand proliferation with the premium Vibe in-ear headphones (£69), another fashion-forward set that offers rich, if a bit bass...

Best headphones for iPods
Reviews They can be snagged for around £30, offer vastly improved sound quality and bass over the iPod earbuds, and block out heaps of noise. Nevertheless, they offer beautiful sound, with exceptionally clear and powerful bass.

Ultimate Ears Super.fi 3 Studio review
Reviews Unlike other similarly priced earphones on the market today, the Super.fi 3s do not offer extreme bass (another model from Ultimate Ears takes care of that -- the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 EB). While rap or electronic music may seem to lack a bit of...

Netac MuStik A200 review
Reviews StrengthsFirst and foremost, sound quality is above average (providing you dispose of the bundled headphones), with an emphasis on bass. Dream Theater's Endless Sacrifice from the terrific album Train Of Thought is a heavy track, and the added bass...

Best earphones for under £80
Reviews They excel at bass reproduction, and they offer a big fat punch in the mid-range as well. Nevertheless, they offer beautiful sound, with exceptionally clear and powerful bass. With an overall balanced sound, the CX 95s are good for all types of...

Intempo BB-01 review
Reviews The control layout is good, with system buttons on the top left, presets and bass boost on the top right and CD controls under the blue LCD at the front. You can add some much-needed low-end thump by switching on the X-Bass button, but it doesn't...

Denon AH-D2000 headphones review
Reviews This material difference affects the tone of the headphones' bass, given that wooden enclosures tend to offer a more natural sound, but we'll come to that shortly. One point to note is the less prominent upper bass which, unlike the D5000s for...

Shure E3c review
Reviews The E3cs achieve full bass response only when you push the buds pretty far into your ear canals. Shure designed the E3cs to be accurate, and it is, so don't expect it to blow you away with hyped-up bass or sizzling high frequencies.

Jamo i300 review
Reviews We noticed a slight muddiness in the mid range, however, and despite its wide response range, the sub didn't reproduce more melodic bass tones as well as we'd hoped. Bass is deep and loud; high frequencies are accurate and clear.

Ministry of Sound MOSMC139IP review
Reviews The bass reflex port is approximately 64mm in diameter.MP3 and WMA files of constant or variable bit rates can be played from CD-ROMs, USB drives or SD cards. One edge of the plastic iPod dock had risen away from the thin, slightly flexible metal...

PURE Digital Evoke-1S review
Reviews A single speaker driver sits behind a silver metal mesh, to the rear of which is a small bass reflex port. The Evoke-1S makes the best of what's on offer, though, and pumps decent sound quality with a healthy portion of bass.

Sony XDR-S1 review
Reviews On each side of the text there’s plenty of room for icons to show when the features like Noise Reduction and Mega Bass are on, but noticeably there are no permanent graphics to show essentials like signal strength.

Toshiba Regza 32C3030D review
Reviews Plus you get a subwoofer line out for adding an optional external bass speaker to the TV's sound system. But a fundamental lack of bass leaves most film soundtracks feeling thin. The 'C' part in the Toshiba Regza 32C3030D's name marks it out as...

Beyerdynamic DTX 50 noise-isolating headphones review
Reviews As for sound quality, it's the bass reproduction that swipes the gold medal for the DXT 50s. We initially tested this pair with Yeah Yeah by Bodyrox and were immediately blown away by the bass performance, especially at higher volume levels.
