Alienware Area 51m 7700 review
Reviews The chassis style isn't as extreme as HR Giger's designs for the Alien movies, but it does look like a prop from Half-Life 2. Characterised by a distinctive alien-head logo, Alienware's quirky PC designs have always been a favourite of extreme gamers.

Sharp Aquos LC-15L1E review
Reviews The wireless transmission definitely looked worse; for example, scenes from the Alien DVD showed more false contouring around the rings of the planet and more video noise and contours in the fog around the lights as the explorers approach the...

Alienware Aurora 7500 SLI review
Reviews The Alienware logo at the top of the front-panel also light up -- the alien's tiny eyes glow menacingly. The 7500 also includes Alien Adrenaline, a customised video performance optimisation system. This company is well known for its high-octane...

PQI mPack P800 review
Reviews Watching Col Kilgore napalm the beach in Apocalypse Now was as exhilarating as ever and the notorious chest-burster scene in Alien was vivid enough to have us dry-retching in horror. The mPack lost no fine detail -- saliva dripping off the alien's...

Alienware Area-51 m5550 review
Reviews Unlike its higher-end sibling, the Aurora mALX, the silver-and-black Alienware Area-51 m5550 has a subdued look that might blend in to the corporate landscape, were it not for the familiar glowing alien head on the lid.

Netbooks: Best Eee PC alternatives
Reviews Though it might seem alien to many of us, the latter is probably the wisest choice as it takes very little time to get used to, and the money you save by ditching Windows is not insignificant. It's difficult to go wrong when buying a netbook.

Denon AH-C551 earphones review
Reviews Their bullet-like build, made from a machined aluminium, offers a feel certain to be alien to dedicated fans of Shure 'phones. Denon often impresses us with its headphone and earphone products, and today we're hoping to add another model to a list.

Alienware Sentia review
Reviews However, the Sentia's lid retains the handy rubber palm grips and alien face, with eyes that now gleam a cool blue instead of a creepy yellow. Alienware's recent overhaul of its all-purpose thin-and-light Sentia brings about a number of changes.

Alienware Area-51 M9750 review
Reviews It would be slightly reminiscent of a black Apple MacBook but for the ribbed rubber section and glowing alien head on the lid. The Area-51 M9750 is probably the most appealing Alienware laptop we've ever come across.

Alienware Area-51 m5700 review
Reviews The top of its lid sports the company's distinctive logo: an ominous alien head with glowing blue eyes, sandwiched between rubberised rib-like protrusions that provide extra grip when carrying the laptop.

Alienware m9700 review
Reviews Gone are the James Cameron-esque Alien claws of the Elite Assassin range, here you'll find classic black-rubber lines accompanying a choice of green, blue or silver casing. Alienware prides itself on never getting left behind in the gaming arena...

Sony DRU-800A review
Reviews One of these days, we'll jumper them to see if the drive light starts blinking alien codes. While many drives choke on certain brands or types of media, or produce errors on the outside edge of the disk at top speed, the Sony just works.

Alienware Area-51 7500 review
Reviews At the front of the door is the instantly recognisable Alienware alien head, complete with LED eyes, which doubles as the power button. Alienware is well known for its high-end gaming PCs, but previous machines we've seen have had seriosuly tacky...

Samsung PS-63P76FD review
Reviews As a result, black levels in dark movies like Alien look impressively unspoiled, drawing you into the action rather than leaving you staring at your own reflection. And there can be no clearer statement of that mission than the brand's PS-63P76FD...

rockdirect Xtreme Ti review
Reviews As with the Area 51m, the Xtreme Ti goes into sleep mode when you close the lid, but, unlike the Area 51m, there are no alien eyes to pulse threateningly, just a silver rockdirect logo. There's something eerily familiar about this rockdirect laptop.
