Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX55 review
Reviews Though the 8-megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX55 squeezes a more modest 3.6x optical zoom into its slender ultracompact frame, the Leica lens does go as wide as 28mm, proving very useful for group portraits and landscapes. The recommended price of...

Hitachi DV-RX7000E review
Reviews Many would hope that they would not take the route of the cheaper manufacturers and opt for the cheapest off-the-shelf components, but would use the economies of scale to pack their recorders with useful features and improved performance.

Ricoh GX200 review
Reviews You miss out on zoom power at the top end of the scale, but if you're into landscape and travel photography you'll find this lens' wider angle of view much more useful. Digital SLRs are big, heavy and awkward to lug around.

Sim2 C3X review
Reviews The Sim2 C3X is just such a projector, and one that not only offers you all of the above, but does so very close to the bottom end of the three-chip price scale. The world is full of big-screen plasma and LCD televisions trying to encourage us to...

Kodak EasyShare ZD710 review
Reviews The relatively diminutive ZD710 leans towards the compact end of the scale with its small size, although it still won't fit in your trouser pocket. Camera manufacturers, out of all the gadget-makers out there, are mercifully willing to give their...

Hitachi L42VP01 review
Reviews So when you realise that the L42VP01 is actually a 'Full HD' 1080p LCD, its value rating suddenly goes off the scale. Hitachi is causing something of a stir right now by launching TVs with built-in hard disk drives.

Dell Inspiron 1525 review
Reviews When you add the 1525's touch-sensitive media control buttons and an HDMI output, you get a not wholly unreasonable package at the lower end of the price scale. As middle-of-the-road as a laptop gets, Dell's Inspiron 1525 is an excellent choice for...

Samsung Q70 review
Reviews Size-wise, the machine slots in at the chunkier end of the ultra-portable scale. The machine will be available from June onwards and will be priced at around £900. DesignIn the past, Samsung has produced some of the prettiest ultra-portables we've...

PURE Digital DRX-702ES review
Reviews At the other end of the scale you'll find stations broadcasting as low as 80Kbps. PURE has a good reputation for high-quality DAB radios. We've previously been impressed by their efforts at smaller kitchen-type-radio design.

Pioneer PDP-LX608D review
Reviews As a result you get a more genuine sense of scale to the cityscape than we've experienced before on a TV, plus you can make out much more subtlety in the background, which helps bring the city to life.

Apple MacBook Pro (15-inch 2.33GHz) review
Reviews The MacBook Pro feels lighter than the aluminium casing makes it look, but at 2.5kg (2.9kg with the AC adaptor), it's at the upper end of the weight scale for a laptop you'd want to carry around every day.

NEC 61XR3 review
Reviews If you're desperate for a big screen, there may be more economical ways to do it -- namely projection technology -- but for everyday television on a massive scale, the NEC 61XR3 has no equal. Let's admit it: this 61-inch plasma screen will remain...

Fujifilm FinePix S100FS review
Reviews That said, you do get a slider scale that shows how accurately you have focused. It seriously blurs the line between dSLR and bridge cameras, with features borrowed from the Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro, and is available now for around £400.

Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse review

Dell Studio 15 review
Reviews At 2.77kg, it's too heavy to tote around every day, but still at the lower end of the 15-inch scale. Parsing the intended markets for Dell's ever-shifting in-house brand names requires some tea-leaf reading.
