Panasonic Toughbook CF-52 review
Reviews Further covers protect the external 15-pin monitor connector, Ethernet and modem ports and a 9-pin serial port. In the middle sit a number of semi-ruggedised laptops, including the wide-screened CF-52, available for around £1,350.

Alienware Area-51 m5700 review
Reviews We were disappointed at the lack of a full-size (6-pin)FireWire port. There's an unpowered mini (4-pin) FireWire port that can accept most FireWire devices via an adaptor, but this isn't included in the box.

Acer n35 GPS review
Reviews The n35 joins a limited range of handheld/GPS combos, including the Windows Mobile-based Mitac Mio 168 and Navman PiN 300 (they share the same hardware design), Garmin’s newly announced iQue M5 and the company's well established PalmOS-based iQue...

Philips WACS700 review
Reviews The bold, pin-striped fascia, the glossy black plastic and the silver control panel would all look perfectly at home on the shelf of a Thatcher-era City trader. The pithily named WACS700 consists of a base unit and a slave unit to which music can...

RCA connectors
Reviews The connector has a centre contact (a pin or a hole) and an outer contact (a flower or a cylinder). This type of connector is used mainly for carrying video and line-level audio on stereos, TVs, VCRs and video cameras.

Acer Aspire 7720 review
Reviews When it comes to ports and connectors, the 7720 could rival a desktop machine, with sockets for both VGA and DVI, four USB (two on each side), 4-pin FireWire, modem, Ethernet, memory card reader, audio (including SPDIF) and TV out strewn around...

Alienware Area-51 M9750 review
Reviews On the left, in order of appearance, is an Ethernet port, two vertically-mounted USB ports, 4-pin FireWire port, an SD card reader and an ExpressCard slot. The Area-51 M9750 is probably the most appealing Alienware laptop we've ever come across.

Porsche Design P'9521 review
Reviews You can set the phone up to use the scanner instead of the usual PIN lock code, or alternatively assign it to certain numbers in the phone's contact book. Would you buy a car made by Nokia? Perhaps, but what about a phone designed by Porsche?

Panasonic Viera TX-32LZD85 review
Reviews The players looked pin-sharp as they charged around, but crucially, this motion sharpness was achieved with precious little in the way of negative processing side effects. For better or for worse, the obsession with 1080p is in full swing.
