Reviews The Asus V1J is one of the first laptops we've seen that uses Intel's next-generation Centrino technology. Being a Centrino Pro laptop, the V1J sports an all-new processor, in this case a 2.2GHz Intel T7500.

Samsung G15 review
Reviews StrengthsSamsung may not have equipped the G15 with Intel's latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor, instead opting for a 1.86GHz Pentium Dual Core T2130 chip combined with 1GB of RAM, but it still managed to pull in a respectable PCMark05 score of 3,487.

Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile U9200 review
Reviews We tested the 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor with a generous 2GB of RAM and it managed to turn in a PCMark05 result of 4,386, which is virtually unheard of in machines this size. Since we tested the machine, the processor has been upgraded...

Apple MacBook Pro (17-inch) review
Reviews Better still, our fully loaded test configuration powered through most of CNET Labs' performance tests, exhibiting only a few of the growing pains encountered by other Intel-based Apple laptops and desktops, such as the iMac Core Duo.

Toshiba Equium L40-17M review
Reviews You won't find one of Intel's newer Core 2 Duo chips inside but you do still get a dual-core Pentium chip. Its integrated Intel X3100 graphics chip just isn't up to the challenge of 3D graphics and it only managed to achieve a 3DMark06 score of 439.

Advent 9112 review
Reviews While it may only feature a Pentium Dual Core T2310 chip running at 1.46GHz rather than one of Intel's Core 2 Duo processors, it still managed to deliver a respectable PCMark05 score of 3,141. The 9112 may have enough power for general...

Select the processor and memory
Reviews Intel's dual-core CPU will benefit design pros and multitaskers now, but it should have a bigger impact when more applications come out that are specifically written to take advantage of the chip's multiple processing paths.

Asus A7Tc review
Reviews This gives it a slight speed advantage when sending data between the processor and memory, but it uses only 512Kb of level 2 cache memory per core, whereas the Intel chips use up to 2MB. AMD's approach to dual-core technology is different to Intel's.
