PURE Digital Siesta review
Reviews With the world going crazy for eco-friendliness and worried about carbon footwotsits, it came as no surprise when PURE Digital dropped an uber-Earth-friendly DAB radio into our laps. When listening to a DAB broadcast, station and song info sits on...

Sony ST-SDB900 review
Reviews Though DAB stations in the UK still use disappointingly low bit rates (sometimes slumping into the gutter of 80Kbps), for audiophiles there is always the option of listening to FM broadcasts on the ST-SDB900 where they're available.

Intempo TRS-01 review
Reviews We used the radio in east London and the reception was pretty good for such a small set, although as with all DAB radios, you have to be more careful with the placement of the telescopic aerial than you would with a standard FM radio.

Goodmans GSR80DAB review
Reviews Pressing the DAB/FM button toggles between the two types of radio, and we found the controls for both FM and DAB to be intuitive enough, although having a separate set of buttons to scan and manually tune in FM is slightly unusual.

PURE Digital Chronos II review
Reviews One of our biggest problems with the original was that it was impossible to fall back on FM transmissions if DAB gave up the ghost or simply wasn't available. We picked up all the major DAB stations in our area without too many issues and FM...

Denon D-M35DAB review
Reviews There are three aerial connections -- DAB, FM and AM -- and the aerials are provided. Presetting the FM and AM stations uses the same simple procedure as presetting the DAB stations. Once you have chosen the function you wish to use the timer with...

Freeplay Devo review
Reviews The FM and DAB tuning controls take the form of two concentric rotary controls. This goes some way to explaining why the FM radio will reward 60 seconds of winding with an hour of radio, while the DAB tuner, with its power-guzzling LCD and digital...

Intempo Rebel review
Reviews And unlike DAB radios, the FM-only Rebel doesn't have scrolling text to work with, so doesn't know what it's listening to. Imagine if you could have all the best elements of FM radio (decent sound quality, new music, free to use) with none of the...

Roberts Gemini 10 review
Reviews Along the top edge of the control panel there’s a row of four buttons including a power switch and FM/DAB radio toggle. The answer is not sinister at all, DAB radios simply don’t occupy much space. Unlike most DAB radios, the £90 Gemini 10 is...

PURE Digital DRX-702ES review
Reviews Other rear connectors include phono inputs, DAB, FM and AM aerials and a good solid kettle-lead power-input socket. Audiophiles will already understand that a strong FM signal is superior to DAB, and luckily PURE has integrated a very capable FM...

Sony XDR-S20 review
Reviews Controls along the top of the radio perform obvious functions including switching from DAB to FM, Auto Tune, Display and Favourites. Up to 40 DAB presets can be stored in the S20, and there's always the option to revert back to FM if you find that...

PURE Digital Chronos review
Reviews PURE Digital has proved its mettle with a series of impressive kitchen DAB radios, such as the Evoke-3 and the One. The first thing the Chronos does when it's switched on is to automatically set the date and time -- presumably from the DAB feed.

Intempo BB-01 review
Reviews You can store four DAB presets and four FM ones. This £90 digital radio with integrated FM tuner and CD player looks like the perfect package, with everything you need for music on the move. You can use the Autotune button on FM too, although it...

PURE Digital One review
Reviews Both FM and DAB transmissions can be received on the integrated tuner. SetupIf you've set up a DAB before, you'll have no problems with the tuning system on the PURE Digital One. On the right-hand side of the DAB, there's a USB port (used to update...

PURE Digital Move review
Reviews If you're ever in an area without DAB signal coverage, or if the signal is simply too weak, you can switch the system to FM mode. PURE Digital continues to reign in the field of attractive DAB radio systems, this time coming up trumps with the Move...
