Olympus mju 1050SW review
Reviews It's tougher still, has a wideangle zoom and a slightly more macho exterior. The Olympus mju 1050SW is very pretty. Too pretty to dunk in 3m of water, drop 1.5m onto a hard surface or stick in your freezer, but apparently it's designed to take it.

Casio Exilim Pro EX-FH20 review
Reviews The FH20 is a superzoom, sporting a large 20x optical zoom and 26mm wide-angle lens Fortunately, the FH20 is more of an all-rounder: the drop in speed is balanced by a longer zoom, higher resolution and more useful features.

Nikon Coolpix P6000 review
Reviews A wideangle zoom? The Nikon's 4x zoom offers the equivalent of a 28-112mm, which is more than you get from the average dSLR's kit lens. Digital SLRs may be the big sellers in the enthusiasts' market, but there's still a lot to be said for well...

Samsung Pixon review
Reviews Viewing photos is a noteworthy experience, as the Pixon gives you the option to view one photo at a time or zoom out and view them as if they were sprawled out on a table. Samsung's love affair with touchscreen phones has produced some gems -- and...

Samsung NV40 review
Reviews The 37mm wideangle, equivalent to a 35mm film camera, isn't anything to write home about, but it does boast a longer-than-average 5x zoom lens. The Samsung NV40 looks great on paper: manual control, smart touch and decent specs.

Hands-on with the Ricoh R10: None more black
Crave That extends to a versatile 7.1x optical zoom, for getting a close-up of the band from the back of the stadium. Bow, mortals! Bow before the satanic majesty of the Ricoh R10, a camera as black as the depths of your soul.

Canon PowerShot SX10 IS review
Reviews You do get quite a lot for your money, including a new 20x optical zoom, image stabilisation, a 10-megapixel sensor and full manual control if you want it. The camera is pretty snappy, though focusing takes longer at maximum zoom.

Canon Powershot G10 review
Reviews The cost of this is a slightly shorter 5x zoom, but that's fine with us. Sadly, video is no-frills: it hasn't improved over the G9's 30fps VGA-resolution footage, and you can't use the optical zoom while filming.

Hands-on with the Fujifilm FinePix J150w
Crave It's only monaural sound, and you can't zoom during movie recording. The J150w does pack a creditable 5x optical zoom lens, with a 28mm wide angle, equivalent to a 35mm camera. Lewis Hamilton is Formula One World Champion.
