Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 2727 review
Reviews The laptop comes with a rather small 120GB hard drive, split across two partitions -- one for the operating system, and one for dumping all your files into. Be warned, though: your kids won't be blowing up many virtual bad guys with this system...

Samsung Q210 review
Reviews Samsung has sensibly supplied 3GB of high-speed DDR2 800MHz RAM, which is near the 3.12GB maximum recognisable by a 32-bit operating system. Samsung may be reticent about entering the netbook market, but it's going full steam ahead with its thin...

Asus Eee Box review
Reviews It's worth noting that the Eee Box doesn't ship with a Media Center operating system -- just regular Windows XP Home. The Eee Box is its great white desktop hope (it's also available in black), and on first impressions, it's hugely exciting.

HP TouchSmart IQ500 review
Reviews Unfortunately, as with all PCs using a 32-bit operating system (Windows Vista Home Premium here), the most the TouchSmart can address is in the region of 3.12GB, which is rather a waste. More ports can be found at the rear of the system, hidden...

Dell Studio 17 review
Reviews It's not as if it's giving us the choice to upgrade to a 64-bit operating system, which would have made sense -- the 32-bit Vista Ultimate is as far as you can go. We're not saying having lots of RAM is pointless, but rather the 32-bit versions of...

Nokia 6650 review
Reviews Because the 6650 runs Nokia's Series 60 operating system, you get plenty of applications, including RealPlayer for watching video files and Nokia's Flash Player for viewing Flash files. A clamshell phone is something of a rarity from Nokia, so it's...

Toshiba SD-P91S review
Reviews You even get a digital bitstream output for connecting this machine to a home cinema system, if you so desire. That may make it appealing to people who want an all-in-one video and music system that they can plug a set of external speakers into...

HTC Advantage X7510 review
Reviews In theory, it does provide a useful proposition for those who don't want a full-blown Windows operating system, but at the same time still need to be kept in touch with the office. While the keypad is completely flat, it does provide a dedicated...

Advent 4211 review
Reviews You only get one choice of operating system, too -- Windows XP -- but there is other useful software. The Advent 4211 is a re-badged alternative to the MSI Wind. Its differences are mostly cosmetic -- whereas the Wind is available in a number of...

Asus Nova Lite Mini 2L review
Reviews The Nova Lite can ship with a choice of operating system. They're sometimes expensive and often not very fast, but they give us a break from the plethora of garish gaming rigs and dull student boxes that litter the market.

Toshiba Portege G810 review
Reviews However, although Toshiba has tried its best to make the Windows Mobile operating system more user friendly with its own touchscreen interface, the result falls between two stools. Instead, it wants them to rely on its touch interface that it's...

Samsung R410 review
Reviews Instead, it leeches 256MB off the main system memory, leaving you with 1,790MB for the operating system and applications. The Samsung R410 -- not to be confused with the r410 mobile phone -- is a budget all-round laptop with a 14.1-inch display.
