The Intempo Fusion is a £99 DAB/FM-enabled iPod dock for the bedside, with a built-in sub woofer and portable design. It'll be on sale from mid October, but we got an exclusive pre-production model and got to test it out. It's definitely ideal for quiet bedroom listening, we found, as louder and heavier sounds weren't as good as softer ones

The Intempo Rebel gives you all the best elements of FM radio (good sound, free music) with none of the worst (ads, annoying DJs). It samples FM radio stations to convert analogue tunes into digital MP3s, which it then stores on internal memory or a card to playback or copy

The iPod doesn't have a radio, let alone DAB, so an iPod speaker system with a digital radio built in has to be a good idea -- Intempo's RDI docking system is that good idea, and it offers a sleek design, good reception and impressive sound quality for the price

The Intempo TRS-01 DAB radio is small and lightweight so it's easy to move around. It can be powered by four AA batteries, which last a good while, or through the mains. The TRS-01 is available in a variety of colours to suit all tastes and reception is great for such a small set
