Hands-on with the Samsung NV9: Cooler King
Crave We'll be testing how useful the feature is in our review, although frankly it could be completely useless and we'd still love it -- on the pink model it looked cool, on the black model it looks dangerously cool.

The CNET UK Blu-ray player speed challenge
Crave The testing procedure is as follows: First we turn on the player and open the disc tray. One cold and wet British summer, a Home Cinema reviewer was growing old waiting for a Blu-ray player to play his copy of Zombie Strippers -- for review...

Humax 9300T: Company listens to us, fixes gutaching racket
Crave We'll be testing the software update when it goes out this week and updating our review with our conclusions. Although we moan about products a lot -- a lot -- we're usually highlighting minor problems.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1: Photos and impressions
Crave We'll do further testing and see how it performs over time. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 has been one of the most elusive handsets we've ever had to deal with. We initially heard about it in February this year and then it disappeared, occasionally...

Ears-on with the Atomic Floyd AirJax earphones
Crave At least at this point in our testing, the best reason to consider these earphones is if you don't like the silicone-tipped sound-isolating designs so many high-end earphones employ, and if you listen to plenty of vocal and acoustic music.

HP Dreamcolor LP2480ZX: One billion colours!
Crave During our time testing it, we were blown away by the image quality. The generous chaps over at HP have just sent us what they proudly believe is the LCD monitor to end all LCD monitors. The HP Dreamcolor LP2480ZX's claim to fame is that it'll...

Intel Core i7 CPU tested
Crave Hence why Intel shipped our test system with only 3GB of RAM (we got creative with a 2x 1GB, 1x 2GB RAM configuration, for 4GB total for testing), and why in high-end PCs that use the new X58 platform, 3GB, 6GB and 12GB configurations will be common.

BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220: Flippin' email
Crave We really didn't expect much from this Razr-like handset, but after testing it out we were pleasantly surprised. If you're not taken with the BlackBerry Storm's clicky touchscreen and you want something a little more compact for your email, the...

Photos: Nokia N85, the middle child
Crave The N85's keypad is flat and initial testing suggests it works well, but we need to do some hardcore texting before we can make a final judgement. Rather than try to outdo itself every time it releases a phone, Nokia has sensibly -- if rather...

Hands-on with the Datz Music Lounge
Crave We've spent the weekend cracking open this DRM-free nut, testing the Lounge to its limits, but it's not all comfy sofas and free cocktails. Unlimited MP3 downloads from major labels for an entire year, for a one-off £99 subscription.

Microsoft aims Windows 7 for Christmas 2009
Crave Initially open only to selected computer makers, Microsoft is trying to open it up to other hardware and software makers, though it still has yet to publicly say what its criteria are or how it will promote the computers that pass its testing.

Photos: Hands-on with the BlackBerry Storm
Crave The camera takes surprisingly sharp shots and even in low light seemed to handle itself well, but further testing is needed. Today the BlackBerry Vodafone press minibus turned up at Crave Towers to give us a sneak peek at the new BlackBerry Storm.

Humax Foxsat-HDR: Finally, a way to record freesat HD
Crave We'll be testing the HDR soon, so keep an eye on our reviews channel. We've certainly had a bit of a pop at freesat in the past, but it's not because we don't like it -- we just think it could be a lot better.

Photos: Hands-on with the Samsung NV40
Crave For darker conditions, the NV40 goes up to a maximum of ISO 3,200, and we'll be testing it in our forthcoming review to see how it copes with the resulting noise. The Samsung NV40 is one of the cameras debuted at CES way back at the start of the year.

Wi-Fi Tiguan: Volkswagen tests Internet car
Crave Imagine driving along and being told by your car which nearby restaurants have special offers, which petrol stations have the lowest prices, or which pubs are having a happy hour in your current location. It might sound far-fetched, but Volkswagen...
