Onkyo HTX-22HD review
Reviews Sound quality is excellent overall. It's hard to criticise the Onkyo because it produces such good-quality sound. The build quality of the 22HD is good overall. The included speaker cable is functional, but very thin and not particularly high quality.

Samsung BD-P1500 review
Reviews Stereo analogue audio can be output via RCA jacks, but if you can, we'd really advise you get at least a 2.1 channel speaker system, to improve the quality of your sound experience. The picture quality of the P1500 is good, if not overwhelming.

Denon DVD-3800BD: Wallet-busting Blu-ray

Welcome to the CNET UK Editors' Choice awards October 2008
Crave Most important to us in an MP3 player is sound quality, and not only does the A828 create some of the best-sounding music in a portable device, Sony didn't ruin this as most companies do -- including Apple -- by bundling terrible earphones in the...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX150 review
Reviews Whatever the colour, the FX150 has the usual excellent Lumix build quality, extending to a dinky metal door covering the connections, and locking battery cover. This mode keeps things simple, but also strips some functions out of the menus almost...

Sony Ericsson W902 Walkman review
Reviews Sound quality is decent, providing you upgrade the budget earphones that come in the box. It suffers hard at the hand of whoever at Sony Ericsson hates 3.5mm headphone sockets, but if you want a full-featured music phone with a great camera, fast...

Denon AH-NC732 headphones review
Reviews But the AH-NC732s were clearly beat by a pair of regular headphones, the Ultrasone HFI-580, and lagged behind both Bose Quiet Comfort headphones in terms of sound quality. Perhaps we expected more because they're made by Denon and we're used to the...

Vita Audio R4 review
Reviews With a generally superb sound quality and one of the classiest builds ever made, only the high price tag and questionable performance with heavier music would put us off snapping one up.Edited by Marian Smith

Panasonic DMP-BD35 review
Reviews Sure, the picture quality on its BDP-S500 is excellent, but the starting price of £500 was nothing short of obscene and the painful slowness of its operation was insulting to those who spent the cash.

Ears-on with the Shure SE102 earphones
Crave They seem to have a particular talent with vocals (for this price point at least), with a shimmering high end that gives sound an open, transparent quality, which many earphones at this price lack. But now it's gone one step further with the entry...

Samsung VP-HMX20 review
Reviews It's quite heavy for it's size, however, which at least goes hand-in-hand with seriously sturdy build quality. Sound is only recorded in two channels, which is then encoded in AAC format. It's a sleeker, more confident beast, but how does the £650...

Cowon O2 review
Reviews We'll talk sound quality later, but the O2 does everything possible to squeeze in file format support, as per usual. But that trademark Cowon sound quality was anything but absent. Gone is the expensive-feeling aluminium of the Q5W, which is a...

Archos 5 vs Cowon A3: PMP prizefight
Crave Ignoring screen quality, as they truly blow us away almost equally on that score, we'll firstly look at video format support. This leads us to believe that if you want out-of-the-box support for great-quality video and no messing around with...

Best music phones with standard 3.5mm sockets
Reviews It's not the best phone in the world by any means, but the ROKR E8 gets a hell of a lot right as a music phone: great sound quality, a decent little screen and a well-placed standard headphone socket.
