Beat Big Brother: Dodge CCTV, phone taps and spies
Crave Big Brother is watching you -- and we're not talking about the mind-numbing reality show. The UK has become a real-life Orwellian nightmare. There's reportedly a CCTV camera for every 14 people. Police helicopters circle our skies.

Brother DCP-135C: Quirky, cheap multi-function printer
Crave When we're not partying with rock stars, we're getting down and dirty with multi-function inkjet printers like the Brother DCP-135C. Brother says this reduces the chances of damaging the USB connector if you trip over the cable.

E4: It's not heavy, it's my Big Brother
Crave Well, sod all that effort providing quality programming, because it's much easier for E4 to launch a new channel on the back of 24/7 Big Brother coverage. Freeview box owners rejoice! No longer do your days have to be filled with aimless channel...

Big brother's little brother: Dell Dimension 5100
Crave Our second newborn from Dell this week, the Dimension 5100, runs a 64-bit processor and uses a Balance Technology extended (BTX) motherboard to make the little critter run quieter. Only Windows XP Professional takes advantage of 64-bit processors...

Philips' spanking new iPod range: Please dock before entering
Crave Next up, the MCM138D -- this is the brother of the previously mentioned MCM398D, but slightly less powerful, not to mention a hell of a lot more cuboidy. This model also offers MP3/WMA CD playback functionality, but with two 35W output channels, it...

Ears-on with the Denon AH-D2000: Audiophilia for £250
Crave The second difference is the aforementioned sound quality, but we won't be putting the D2000s up against their older brother until we've given them at least 100 hours of play time to burn themselves in.

Mustek MP80D: Portable, you say?
Crave We looked at the MP80D's little brother, the MP70D, a few months back, and this beast is similar -- but with a larger screen (8 inches to the MP70D's measly 7). It's a decent little DVD player -- it does that job really quite well.

IPTV in the UK: BBC and Motorola sound off
Crave Most of us don't give a hoot how our TV is delivered, we just want to watch Big Brother with minimal fuss. But IPTV can offer us lots of extra features, such as on-demand movies and maybe one day high-definition TV.

BlackBerry 8820: RIM rams Wi-Fi and GPS into the 8800
Crave On the surface, the BlackBerry 8820 smart phone is identical to its gleaming older brother the BlackBerry 8800 -- and it shares some of its specs too. But RIM has added a few extra features into the mix that make the 8820 a bit of a beast.

Dell XPS M1210: Lilliputian powerhouse
Crave Well this is its little brother -- the Dell XPS M1210. Remember the 20-inch XPS M2010 laps-top? It's small, admittedly, but this 12-inch wonder packs a mean punch, as you probably guessed from the fact that it's part of the XPS range.

Final Cut Pro 5: the cutting edge
Crave Tarnation was cut using its younger brother, iMovie -- which should give you some idea of exactly how powerful the older sibling is. Final Cut Pro had a hand in creating almost every fringe movie going in the last few years.

We take the iRiver H320 to the river
Crave But what of the H10’s older brother, the H320? Bill Gates pimped the iRiver H10 at CES in January, fondling the tiny MP3 player on stage and calling it “a very nice device”. We eagerly tore one out of its packaging and took it for a walk down the...

Exilim S500: We've been admiring its form
Crave Crave liked Casio's Exilim EX-Z750 because of its monster screen and easy-to-use controls, so we've been looking forward to a chance to play with its stylish little brother, the Exilim EX S500. This elegant little credit-card sized camera has 5...
