We7.com: An ad with every free track
Crave These aren't the words of a label about to give out DRM-free tunes for the 30-60p advertisers will pay for each download of an ad-fitted song. Downloaders are also given the option to pay for a normal, ad-free version of the song in the first place.

New Sony Bravia ad: Paint the town red. And yellow and blue
Crave Sony's first Bravia ad was a terrific example of this: borrowing the techniques and aesthetic of installation art, it was simply footage of thousands of coloured balls bounding down a hill in San Francisco, with a lovely indie theme tune.

Sony BMG and 3 launch free mobile music videos
Crave For those of you with handsets on the 3 phone network right now, you're about to get ad-supported music videos for free. It's quite interesting to see that as people have become used to paying for this promotional material, an alternative, ad...

Photos: Olympus mju 1030 SW telly tough guy
Crave The waterproof ability of the tough Olympus cameras is shown off in this Singaporean ad. If you thought the little boy in the UK ad was mischievous, just wait until you see these chuckleheads, featuring in an ad that plays like the Eastern European...

Crave Talk: Should Shareapic share its shekels?
Crave Total ad money is divvied up between users based on image views. If nothing else, paying users out of the ad revenue may numb the pain of being bombarded by advertising. And yes, we know CNET.co.uk is an ad-supported site, but come on, that's why...

Hiro Media: Piping ads into free TV downloads
Crave The idea isn't perfect though -- for a start the Hiro codec only works on Windows 2000 and XP at the moment, so that means OS X and Linux users aren't going to be enjoying ad-supported content any time soon.

Ten more hilariously terrible tech adverts
Crave The message the ad agency is trying to get across is simple: buy a PS2. This advert for the Mega-CD is slightly obscure, although it's not nearly as strange as the PlayStation ad. It seems people got a huge amount of enjoyment from watching...

Top ten laughably bad tech ads
Crave This ad was recently beautifully parodied by the Channel 4 TV show The IT Crowd. We can only assume this ad was the result of an awful lot of Friday night drinking at a Karaoke bar in central London, where someone with a looming deadline met a chap...

Crave Podcast 21: Mitchell and Webb on trial
Crave They also put Apple's Mitchell and Webb ad campaign in the dock, arguing to save its scrawny neck from the savage wrath of the hangman's rope, in some cases more convincingly than others. This week's podcast sees Rory Reid, Chris Stevens and TV...

Acer Travelmate 8204 accepts MacBook Pro Challenge
Crave This is in no small part to Apple's ad campaign, which includes the slogan: "What's an Intel chip doing in a Mac? The MacBook Pro has enjoyed an awful lot of press lately. As you may have heard, it's the first Apple laptop range to use Intel's new...
