Photos: Hands on with the Samsung Q1 Ultra
Crave The keys are a tad fiddly to begin with, but we achieved a pretty accurate 30 words per minute (-ish) after some practice. There's an integrated TrackPoint-style mouse 'nipple' in the centre and selector keys towards the front edge.

Nokia 7900 Prism: If triangles ruled the world
Crave One of the most bizarre features is its collection of entirely triangular keys. It's just not very usable -- the keys are too fiddly for our liking. Variety, according to people wiser than us, is the spice of life -- and Nokia's 7900 Prism is...

Toshiba G450: Small but perfectly odd
Crave Its keys are spread across two separate button clusters and the screen is only big enough to accommodate three lines of text -- so it's pretty difficult to use at first. Toshiba isn't well known for its mobile phones, but it does make them.

Hands-on with the Lenovo IdeaPad U110
Crave The unusual key design added to our concern: the keys themselves are made of the same glossy material as the keyboard deck, they look flat (though closer inspection reveals a slightly concave surface), and there's no space between them.

Datel Wi-Fi Max: PSP and DS go online
Crave However, as you can only connect online via a wireless network, you usually have to mess around with routers, WEP keys and all sorts of other computer-based nonsense. If you've got a Sony PSP and haven't taken it online yet, then you're not using...

Sneak peek: LG U400 music phone
Crave He may have a point, but for those of us that spend our time with mobile phones, we're usually stuck with keys and buttons, so try to defend them out of pride. Crave spends an excessive amount of time having arguments about technology.

Hands-on with the Nokia N82: Best camera phone ever?
Crave We weren't too keen on the tiny, rice grain-style keys, either -- they look like they've been prized off a Sony Ericsson handset. On paper the Nokia N82 is almost identical to the juggernaut Nokia N95.

Urban tech-warrior: Gadget gear on the go

Samsung X830: Flick phone
Crave From the outside it looks like an MP3 player roughly the size of a Tunnock Caramel Wafer, but when you flick it open.hey presto, a set of keys appears. Let's face it: some music phones can be rather boring.

Blackberry 8707v: Speedy Gonzalez's BlackBerry of choice
Crave The 8707v is identical to the Blackberry 8700g and features the same form factor, speakerphone and dedicated call keys, but with the added 3G boost, surfing the Web and downloading data will be significantly quicker.

The TAD: A ring that helps you ring
Crave It comes with three swappable pointers for different size keys -- the pointed one you can see in the picture is for touchscreens. This is not a sex toy, this is the TAD, a mobile phone accessory for the long-nailed or keypad-confounded.

Nokia 6234: Simple and smart
Crave We're not sure the small soft keys and rounded-off keypad will be comfortable to use, but we'll reserve judgement until we get one in. The Nokia 6230 was a breakthrough mobile phone that saw quality features merged with a compact form factor.

Smart attack: Sony Ericsson T650, S500, P1 and T250
Crave The T650i (second from left) is a slim, 3G-enabled candybar phone with a 3.2-megapixel camera and a rather interesting keypad, which is made up of square keys and performs a light show in conjunction with the various on-screen themes.

If you're proud to be a geek, inside and out...
Crave Uber-Review points out what we find most amusing of all, that the gray keys spell out "computer geek. Crave US: Anyone can wear their geekdom on their sleeve or, in some cases, around the neck. How much guts, after all, does it take to wear a blue...

Crave Fortunately, the navigation area features mechanical buttons instead of touch keys, making them easier to use than the ones on the Samsung E900. Not one to lag behind its fierce competitor LG, fellow Korean giant Samsung has also released a...
