Jose Munoz-Olaya, a MacBook owner and molecular biologist from Spain's Canary Islands, took this photo of his stained MacBook.
"They look like a shadow, grey in colour, and at first it was rather difficult to see. But things only got worse," he said. "As time goes on, the stains are more and more visible and nothing I can do will stop that."

Frustrated by Apple's response, Munoz-Olaya decided to put together a Web site devoted to pressuring Apple to respond fairly to the MacBook situation. At the time of writing, his site lists 83 MacBook owners from around the globe who are experiencing the problem and have listed their device's serial number.
