Orange has signed a deal with BBC Worldwide to put clips from well-known sitcoms including The League of Gentlemen, Little Britain and The Office onto subscribers' mobiles.

Auntie fans will be able to download and watch snippets of the programmes on their phones as well as use catchphrases from the shows as ringtones, or stills from the series as wallpaper.

Doctor Who will also feature as part of the line-up, although only "classic" episodes will be available.

The BBC recently signed a deal with Rok Player to broadcast full length episodes of the latest Doctor Who series to mobile phones.
