Introducing the LG Optimus Black
One of the world's thinnest and lightest Android smartphones, the LG Optimus Black has an innovatively bright 4" Nova Display, creating a one-of-a-kind user experience unlike anything else.
Stylishly Slim, Lightweight Smartphone
True slimness that gives the most
Optimus Black is designed to create a sense of slimness through its whole body. Tapering down to 6.0 mm at its thinnest point and 9.2mm at its thickest point, you will never be out of style with the LG Optimus Black's thorough and complete slimness. Even without sacrificing features of battery size, all the power and components you need are fit into one slimline body.

It fits like a glove
Take a moment to feel the way Optimus Black sits in your palm. If it is awkward to hold, thinness isn't offering much benefit. The smooth angles of the curved back plate not only create an optical illusion of greater slimness but also improve handheld grip to fit your palm. We call this the C-Curve.
The incredible lightness of being
Try slipping Optimus Black into your own pocket. At 109 grams you'll barely notice it's there whether you're walking around the street or working up a sweat at the gym.
Bright yet battery-efficient display
LG's new NOVA display is optimal for web browsing and text viewing, providing a more natural experience by displaying truer colors
You'll be impressed by how easy it is to read the phone's display. Whether you are driving through direct sunshine or the flickering sunlight of forest roads, you can see the screen without any problem.
You'll be also surprised by how clear it is. With the well balanced color gamut and true white display, websites and documents appear more comfortable to the eye so you can read your favorite blogs for longer without getting tired eyes.
Also, Nova Display Technology significantly reduces the phone's power consumption. So even with a brighter screen, you'll still have enough power to get you through each day.
G- Key for Gesture Commands
The G-Key button on Optimus Black is the gateway to all our intuitive gesture commands for frequently used functions, so you can make difficult things look simple, like answering a call with one hand.
1. Press to pick up
To accept an incoming call, press the G-Key, keep it pressed, then bend your arm as if picking up the phone. The phone will receive the call right away.
2. Shake and say cheese
To enter camera mode, just press the G-Key, keep it pressed, then shake the phone twice. Camera mode is automatically launched.
3. Tap for tunes
To skip forward or backward while listening to music, double tap the right or left side of the phone, respectively. You can also use this gesture feature in the image viewer.
